Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Kondo World collects about you, why, and the choices you have. Kondo World is run by Chad Yehia, Sales Representative, HouseSigma Inc., Brokerage.
What we collect
- Email address — to sign you in and to contact you about your account.
- Display name — only your first name is ever shown publicly.
- Reviews, ratings and answers you post — these are public, shown under your first name or anonymously, as you choose.
- Saved buildings and private notes — if you save buildings or write private notes on them, we store them with your account so only you can see them, and we delete them if you delete your account.
- Agreement and consent records — when you accept the terms or opt in to emails, we keep a record of the exact wording you agreed to, when, and basic technical details.
- Giveaway activity — entries, invite codes and draw results, so we can run the weekly giveaway fairly.
- Technical data — standard logs such as browser type, device and pages visited, used to run and protect the site.
How we use it
- To run the site and show your reviews under your first name or "Anonymous".
- To send essential account and service emails — sign-in links and updates about your reviews. You receive these whether or not you opt in to marketing.
- To send newsletters and offers only if you've explicitly opted in. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
- To run the weekly giveaway and contact winners.
- To keep the site and its community safe.
What we never do
We don't sell your personal information, and we never publish your email address or account details.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that host the site and deliver our email, and only as needed to run Kondo World — plus anyone the law requires us to share with.
Signing in with Google or Microsoft
If you sign in with Google or Microsoft, that provider confirms your identity and shares your name and email with us. Their own privacy policies apply to what they collect.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We don't use cookies to show you advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account is active. You can delete your reviews at any time, and deleting your account removes your saved buildings, private notes and profile.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email.
- Edit or delete your reviews from your account page.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, or for a correction, through our contact page.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no system is perfectly secure. Keep access to your email account secure, since that's how you sign in.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time and will post the new version on this page.
