About
About this building
Queens Quay Terminal is one of the few truly historic buildings on the waterfront.

- Next to Harbourfront CentreBy Harbourfront
It began life as a working harbour warehouse for goods arriving across Lake Ontario, and was converted in 1985 to a design by Zeidler into a mixed-use landmark, with shops and restaurants at street level and condominium homes above. Its masonry walls set it apart from the glass towers that followed along the Quay. Residents have an indoor pool and a sauna, and a green roof runs along the edge of the building. A 24-hour concierge serves the terminal's homes. Condo fees go toward heat, water, air conditioning, building insurance and maintenance of the shared areas. The 509 Harbourfront streetcar stops out front, and Union Station is about twelve minutes on foot. Harbourfront Centre, with its galleries, festivals and winter skating rink, is next door, and the waterfront boardwalk runs past the door.
