About this building
25 Telegram Mews, known as Montage, is a 2009 Concord Adex tower on a short lane off Fort York Boulevard, right in the middle of CityPlace.

It shares its block and amenity spaces with Neo at 4K Spadina Ave. Its best everyday perk is the Sobeys grocery store at street level, which residents can reach indoors from the parking garage. The amenities are some of the most varied in the area: a large indoor saltwater pool with a hot tub, a sauna and steam room, a gym with a yoga and dance studio, and rooms for parties, movies and billiards. Outside, one courtyard has lawns and lounge seating and another has a climbing wall and barbecues. There are guest rooms, visitor parking and a 24-hour concierge. Fees include heat, water and air conditioning, building insurance and upkeep of the shared spaces. Canoe Landing Park and two schools are a few minutes' walk, and the Spadina streetcar runs to Union Station.

Tips from residents
In their own words · 5 tips
“Not much visitors parking”
“Book the guest suites well ahead for holidays. They are a great deal compared with a hotel, but they fill up months in advance in December.”
“Ask the landlord about past leaks. We had a ceiling leak from the suite above and it took weeks for the repair to be finished between the owner and the building.”
“Hydro is billed separately and the den has no window, so it works as an office but not as a real bedroom. Check the hydro sub-meter company before you sign.”
“Ask which elevators serve the suite you're looking at. The upper part of the tower has its own lobby and express elevators, and that makes a real difference at 8 a.m.”

- Courtyards with barbecues and a climbing wall
- Hallways and common areas are kept very clean
- Fair rent for the location
- You can hear neighbours through the walls
- Den is too small to use as a bedroom

Good building for the price compared with the newer towers on Spadina. The courtyards are a nice surprise in summer, and the climbing wall and barbecues get used a lot. Management answers emails within a couple of days. Walls between suites are thinner than I expected, and I can hear my neighbour's TV some evenings, but the hallways are quiet and clean.

Would live here again: Yes
- Grocery store downstairs, reachable from the garage in winter
- Big indoor pool and gym that are rarely crowded
- Concierge is friendly and handles parcels well
- Elevators are slow at rush hour
- Game and concert nights get loud
- Visitor parking fills up on weekends
Wish I'd known: Ask which elevators serve the suite you're looking at. The upper part of the tower has its own lobby and express elevators, and that makes a real difference at 8 a.m.
I bought here three years ago and I'd do it again. Having a grocery store in the building is the thing I'd miss most: in winter I go down through the garage and never put a coat on. The pool, hot tub and gym are bigger than in most of the newer towers nearby and are rarely busy on weekday mornings. Concierge is friendly and parcels are logged properly. The downsides are the usual CityPlace ones: elevators are slow at rush hour, and you hear the crowds and traffic when there's a game or concert at the stadium.
