Tips from residents
In their own words · 10 tips
“The Super Club's theatre and party room are popular for family events. Book them through the office a month or more ahead for holidays.”
“Rogers and Bell both work well here, but test your signal in the suite. I lose a bar or two away from the windows.”
“Guests have to be buzzed in or met at the desk. If friends visit often, sort out how guest access works with concierge early.”
“Moves and deliveries need the service elevator booked through concierge with a deposit, and weekend slots go fast. Book at least two weeks ahead.”
“Check the noise before signing. On event nights at the stadium and summer weekends on the waterfront, the street noise lasts well past midnight.”
“Join the residents' emails and come to the AGM. The board shares plans for big projects early, so special assessments are never a surprise.”
“Ask whether the suite has had window or balcony door repairs. Ours was drafty in winter and the fix took months between the owner and the corporation.”
“Visitor parking is first come, first served and fills up on game days. Tell friends to come early or use the Green P lots nearby when the Jays are home.”
“Hydro is billed separately by a sub-metering company, not Toronto Hydro. Ask the landlord for a recent bill so you know what to budget.”
“The Super Club is huge, but the squash courts, bowling lanes and golf simulator are booked through concierge. Book a few days ahead for weekends.”

- Spotless pool and change rooms
- Close to the Spadina streetcar and Union
- Quick maintenance replies so far
- Signal drops away from the windows
- Event traffic on Bremner
Wish I'd known: Rogers and Bell both work well here, but test your signal in the suite. I lose a bar or two away from the windows.
I've only been here a few months, but so far so good. Moving in was well organized, and when my dishwasher acted up, maintenance came the next day. The pool and change rooms are spotless, and the business centre is handy when I work from home. My only real complaint is the cell signal inside the suite.

Wish I'd known: Join the residents' emails and come to the AGM. The board shares plans for big projects early, so special assessments are never a surprise.
This has been a very well run building in the years we've owned here. The board and management plan big jobs years ahead and explain them at the AGM, and our fees have gone up modestly. Security is good, with fob access, cameras and a 24-hour concierge desk. We use the pool almost every day and the guest suites whenever family visits. If you want a downtown condo with real amenities and a stable corporation, this is a good choice.

- Pool and gym are never crowded on weekdays
- Streetcar to Union is right outside
- Concierge holds parcels reliably
- Hydro sub-metering fees add up
- Can hear neighbours' music on weekends
Wish I'd known: Hydro is billed separately by a sub-metering company, not Toronto Hydro. Ask the landlord for a recent bill so you know what to budget.
Solid rental for the price. I work downtown and walk to the office in about fifteen minutes, or take the streetcar when it's cold. The gym and pool at the Super Club are much better than what friends have in newer towers, and I rarely wait for a machine. The suite itself is showing its age a little, but management fixed a dripping tap within a couple of days. The walls between suites aren't the thickest, so weekends can get loud depending on your neighbours.

- The Super Club is the best amenity centre in CityPlace
- Concierge team is friendly and on top of parcels
- Walk to the lake, the CN Tower and Union
- Gardiner traffic hum on the south side
- Elevators are slow around 8 a.m.
Wish I'd known: The Super Club is huge, but the squash courts, bowling lanes and golf simulator are booked through concierge. Book a few days ahead for weekends.
We bought here when the tower opened and have never seriously thought about leaving. The Super Club is the reason: a proper 25-metre pool, a running track, basketball, squash and even bowling, all a short walk through the grounds. Twenty years on, the building still feels well looked after. The hallways are clean and the concierge staff know most of us by name. You do hear the Gardiner and Lake Shore on the south side, and the elevators get slow at rush hour, but for the location and the amenities it's hard to beat.
